Michael Phelps of the United States broke his own world record for the 200-metre butterfly at the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships last night . Phelps swam the race in 1 minute 53.80 seconds, breaking the mark of 1:53.93, which he set at the 2003 world championships in Barcelona, Spain.

It featured more goals than I want to hear someone shouting "GOOOOOAAAALLLLL" to, and was apparently the longest soccer game on record here in the U.S. - and it thankfully ended with a 437-429 victory (boy, was that close) for Chivas, against the "Rest of the World" team.
